Uploading and updating a site You can use either the incremental method or the modified item method for both first-time uploads and subsequent updates. You can export a site as part of the upload process. For information, see Exporting a site. To upload a site to an FTP server: 1 Open the site and connect to the FTP server. 2 Do one of the following: ![]() ![]() ![]() Important: Use the button on the toolbar for an upload method only if its tooltip indicates that it performs the command you want to use. Its tooltip can read Incremental Upload, Upload Modified Items, Upload Selection, or Export Upload. 3 If the Upload Options dialog box is displayed, review the options and click OK. For information, see Setting upload options. To change the command that the upload button ( 1 Move the pointer to the button. 2 Hold down the mouse button until the button menu opens. The current command is checked. 3 Choose another command. To export and upload a site to an FTP Server as a single process: 1 Open the site and connect to the FTP server. 2 Click the Export Upload button ( 3 If the Export Site Options dialog box is displayed, choose or review the options and click Export. For information, see Exporting a site. 4 Click Yes or No. Clicking Yes displays information about the export: the files exported, the files not exported and the reasons they weren't exported, and the export options used.
